Too often, the relationship between startups and corporates is pictured as David vs Goliath. That shouldn’t be.
In reality, the match between startup technology and corporate firepower is a recipe for synergies that lead to a mutual boost of competitiveness. Sadly, this is rarely anyone’s experience with existing corporate venturing tools. I’m convinced that with the Venture Client model we finally found the key to enable companies to harness strategic benefits from startups, and vice versa, fast and effectively. I co-founded 27pilots to take our model beyond BMW and establish the Venture Client model as the standard corporate venturing vehicle for companies world-wide.
At 27pilots I’m responsible for company operations. I make sure that everything runs smoothly so that the team can focus on delighting our existing clients and growing the customer base. Outside 27pilots I’m a frequent speaker at conferences like Techfestival, Techchill and Startupnight.
Before founding 27pilots I helped to establish the BMW Startup Garage, the world’s first Venture Client unit. I was in charge of defining Venture Client services that support the adoption of startup solutions by BMW business units. I also managed startup pilot projects in several BMW divisions and managed multiple marketing campaigns to raise awareness for the BMW Startup Garage externally and internally.
I studied Entrepreneurship & Innovation Management at TU Berlin and Warsaw School of Economics. During my studies, I worked for two startup companies in different roles and was heading the board of the entrepreneurial initiative START Berlin.
When I’m not in our beautiful office in the heart of Munich you will probably find me hiking in the alps, cooking for friends, riding horses or just relaxing at home with my husband and cats.
